Yahweh is king! Let the earth rejoice;
let the many coastlands be glad!
Clouds and thick darkness are all around Yahweh;
righteousness and justice are the foundation for Yahweh's throne.
Fire goes before Yahweh,
and burns up his adversaries all around.
Yahweh's lightnings light up the world;
the earth sees it and trembles.
The mountains melt like wax before Yahweh,
before the Lord of all the earth.
The skies proclaim Yahweh's righteousness;
and all the peoples see Yahweh's glory.
All those who serve images are put to shame,
those who boast in their idols;
all gods prostrate themselves before Yahweh.
Zion hears and is glad,
and the daughter-cities of Judah rejoice because of your judgments, Yahweh.
For you, Yahweh, are most high over all the earth;
you are exalted far above all gods.
Yahweh loves those who hate evil;
Yahweh guards the lives of those who are loyal to him;
Yahweh rescues them from the hand of the wicked.
Light dawns on the righteous,
and joy on those who are upright in heart.
Rejoice in Yahweh, you righteous,
and praise Yahweh's unforgettable holiness.
